Many people have told us that Beaufort South Carolina was a beautiful city hence the name Beau…..-tiful, and it truly is! We have stopped at the downtown Marina of Beaufort for a few days. We need to get our alternator for our Yanmar engine repaired and what a cool place to be moored for a while!

When walking from the marina we stumbled (pun intended) upon a interesting place called Hemingway’s! The sign says,  It’s A Great Place, If You Can Find It!

SO TRUE!

The story behind the bar is that two Australian women sailed into town 20 years ago, bought the bar, and have never left.

We had the pleasure of meeting these two Aussies and were instantly enthralled with the stories of their adventurous lives. I encourage you to read the story of them riding out Hurricane Hugo in their sailboat!

It is absolutely riveting to read and what an inspiration for the power of strong women.

So if you ever get a chance to step into this beautiful little town, make sure you also step in to this great little place called Hemingway’s (if you can find it!)
